Musings from the Nest

The Fimo beads from yesterdays bead class are in the oven & I am gearing up for the day.

Today is the last day of the 3 day beading workshop. The group will be creating hemp jewelry today and incorporating their beads from yesterday into their creations. I will be sure to post some pics….the beads are terrific!

Next week will be a 4 day arts inspired workshop. Through different activities we will be playing with colour theory and design…this event promises to be great fun.

The beads and I are off to the shop, then later this evening I am taking the Boy Blunder to see Death Cab For Cutie…I must admit that I am really looking forward to it.

The Crow

Oh I must say I have been talking to some very cool instructors & have some tres cool classes beginning to shape up for the fall. I promise I will let you all know about them so you can join us.

Things to “Crow” about in Ladner this weekend!

What a weekend this is going to be in Ladner Village!  Tour de Delta will be speeding through the “Village” Saturday afternoon and into the evening…such a fab  event! I love to feel the wind as the bikes race by.

But I am really looking forward to Sunday.  Ladner Village Market will be in full swing & just a short crow hop away, at Memorial Park, over 70 artists & artisans will be displaying their work in the Delta Arts Councils annual Gallery in the Garden. Sunny weather is forcast so… come on down, listen to some great music, let the kids paint a picture, check out some great art and spend the afternoon in the park. The Crow will be there so I hope you will come and visit the shop then wander over to Memorial Park and say hello. Come play!
